55. Subscription Plans and Billing
5.1 Plans
GhostChat offers four flat plans plus an AI plan. The built-in AI assistant (Claude Haiku) is available on the AI plan only, subject to the monthly allowance in Section 6. Accounts subscribed to the retired Team + AI ($35/month) plan keep it at its existing price and allowance until they cancel or switch plans.
Free
FREE PLAN: 1 site, 1 team member, unlimited messages, 30-day conversation history, branded widget ('Powered by GhostChat'). No AI assistant.
Starter
STARTER PLAN ($5/month): 3 sites, 1 team member, unlimited messages, 1-year conversation history, business hours automation, visitor page journey, WooCommerce visitor context, contact CSV export, branded widget. No AI assistant.
Pro
PRO PLAN ($12/month): everything in the Starter plan, plus 5 team members, 5 sites, 3-year conversation history, auto-translate (133+ languages), webhooks, Bot Agent API (bring your own LLM), email support. No AI assistant.
Team
TEAM PLAN ($25/month): unlimited sites (subject to fair use — accounts creating sites at a volume consistent with automated abuse rather than genuine business use may be asked to get in touch), unlimited messages, unlimited conversation history, up to 10 team members, remove 'Powered by' branding, custom visitor context, identity verification, priority support, all Pro features. No AI assistant. AI PLAN ($39/month): everything in the Team plan, plus the built-in AI assistant answering visitors, subject to the monthly allowance in Section 6.
5.2 Billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method automatically each billing period. We do not currently offer annual billing or free trials; the Free plan carries no charge and no time limit. Existing subscribers keep the price they subscribed at unless and until they change plans.
5.3 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
5.4 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases.
66. Usage Limits and Fair Use
All plans include unlimited messages. The Team and AI plans (and the legacy Team + AI plan) include unlimited conversation history. The Pro plan includes 3-year conversation history. The Starter plan includes 1-year conversation history, and the Free plan 30-day. All features are subject to our Fair Use Policy and intended for normal, reasonable business use.
The AI assistant (available on the AI plan) depends on third-party AI providers. It is subject to a monthly allowance of AI-generated replies, to a monthly allowance of dashboard test replies on paid plans that do not include the assistant, and to per-plan knowledge-base size limits, to prevent abuse and keep pricing flat. Current allowances are published in our documentation and may change at any time as the feature matures and its underlying third-party costs evolve. We may likewise adjust the pricing or availability of the AI assistant; any price increase follows the 30-day notice in Section 5.4. Reaching the limit never interrupts your chat — visitor messages are still captured and routed to you — and it resets at the start of each month.

1515. Bot Agent — Third-Party AI Services
GhostChat's Bot Agent feature allows you to connect third-party AI services ("AI Agents") to your chat widget via webhook. By using this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:
- ⚠You are solely responsible for the configuration, behavior, and outputs of any AI Agent you connect to GhostChat.
- ⚠Visitor messages delivered via webhook are untrusted user input from the public internet. You are responsible for ensuring your AI Agent handles such input safely.
- ⚠GhostChat strongly recommends running your bot script in a dedicated, isolated environment with no access to your codebase, databases, file system, or any sensitive systems. Failure to do so is entirely at your own risk.
- ⚠GhostChat is not responsible for any actions taken by your AI Agent, including but not limited to: disclosure of confidential information, unintended responses to visitors, security breaches resulting from misconfigured agents, or any harm caused by AI-generated content.
- ⚠You are responsible for ensuring your use of third-party AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) complies with their respective terms of service.
- ⚠GhostChat acts solely as a message relay (webhook delivery and API). We have no visibility into, control over, or liability for the AI processing that occurs on your infrastructure.
- ⚠You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GhostChat and its owners from any claims, damages, losses, or legal costs brought by third parties arising from your use of the Bot Agent feature, including claims related to AI-generated content, unauthorized disclosures by your bot, or violations of third-party rights.
- ⚠You may not use the Bot Agent feature to generate, distribute, or facilitate illegal content, phishing, spam, harassment, or any content that violates applicable law or third-party rights. GhostChat reserves the right to suspend your bot agent immediately upon detection of such abuse.
1616. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
