Syncitol v1.4.0

@thinkvp thinkvp released this 23 Aug 00:12

Auto Sync is the only button now

The three-step manual card (Scan Sequence / Build Sync / Fine Tune) is gone. ⚡ Auto Sync already ran that same pipeline end to end, so the manual path was a second way to do the same thing — with one sharp edge.

The manual Fine Tune button ran the fast per-clip pass only, skipping the coarse whole-track phase. On footage with minute-scale clock offsets between devices, that produced a confident-looking result that was still minutes out of sync. Alignment now always runs both phases — coarse whole-track, then fine per-clip.

Syncitol is UXP-only

The CEP extension is discontinued and will receive no further builds. Syncitol now requires Premiere Pro 26.0 or later on Windows (x64) or macOS (arm64 / x86_64).

If you're on Premiere 24 or 25, the last CEP builds remain downloadable from v1.3.0 and earlier — unsupported and as-is.

Also in this release

  • The post-sync card now reports what the run actually did — footage synced, clip count, elapsed time — instead of a bare "Synced!".
  • Documentation consolidated into a single README, with the macOS security prompt now written down (see below).

Install

Download Syncitol-UXP-1.4.0.ccx below and double-click it. Creative Cloud Desktop opens an "Install a non-marketplace plugin" dialog — click Install, then find the panel under Window → UXP Plugins → Syncitol.

macOS: expect a security warning the first time. After installing, run Premiere Pro and it'll say it can't load the plugin. Go into System Settings → Privacy & Security, click Allow Anyway on the message about Syncitol, then restart Premiere Pro. The only way I can get rid of that warning is by signing up to a $99/year Apple Developer account. I don't use Mac and this is a free plugin, so it's not something I'm interested in doing.

Syncitol is free. If it saves you a re-sync session, consider tipping on Ko-fi — it's genuinely appreciated.

Syncitol v1.3.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 03 Aug 04:55

Full Changelog: v1.2.0...v1.3.0

For Premiere Pro 26+ (Windows and Mac): download the CCX file to install the UXP version of the plugin. Includes required ffmpeg files.

Note: For Mac, after installing, run Premiere Pro and it'll say it can't load the plugin. You'll need to go into "Privacy & Security" and click allow anyway and reload Premiere Pro. The only way I can get rid of that warning is by signing up to a $99/year Apple Developer account. I don't use Mac and this is a free plugin, so it's not something I'm interested in doing.

For earlier versions of Premiere Pro, use the CEP version of the plugin (ffmpeg may need to be installed separately). Install by:

Using the EXE file for Windows
Using the ZXP file with an extension installer (Windows or Mac)
Manually installing the plugin (as per install instructions).

Syncitol v1.1.0

Choose a tag to compare

@thinkvp thinkvp released this 22 Jul 10:27

Changed

  • Per-track anchoring: each track now anchors to its own earliest clip instead of a single global anchor. A device whose clock is set to the wrong date (factory reset, dead battery) no longer pushes correctly-dated clips from other tracks past the 24-hour timeline limit.
  • The Detected Clips table now shows offsets relative to each clip's own track earliest.
  • 24-hour span guard now checks per-track instead of globally.

Fixed

  • CEP: multi-track audio groups unlinked by \clip.move()\ during Build are now re-linked after placement.
  • CEP: payload passed via JSX global ($.timeSyncPayload) to avoid path-escaping bugs on Windows.

Downloads

  • Syncitol-UXP-1.1.0.ccx — UXP plugin for Premiere Pro 26.0+
  • Syncitol-CEP-Setup-1.1.0.exe — CEP extension Windows installer
