Follow up to #190222. Routes route through the manifest when used in release mode to follow the precedent of other Android engine flags as part of the work towards #190461.

Separate PR created for clarity; route is parsed apart from most other engine flags.

I know you said that route was parsed independently but I don't understand why

This method say that you have to have the metadata in the intent and a manifest flag

FlutterActivityLaunchConfigs#INITIAL_ROUTE_META_DATA_KEY} for this {@code Activity} in the Android manifest.

But the code looks like it checks the intent and returns before doing any other work.

actually assume this flag has all the same comments as flutterActivity. Also is there a way you can use some codesharing here since the implementations look so similar?

Refactored to a method they both call but did not remove the methods in each class because that would be breaking to any subclasses of FlutterActivity or FlutterFragmentActivity I believe

If intents are the most dangerous avenue for malicious actors why are they the most prefered way to set the route?

Because we are prioritizing developer velocity. The Intent pathway is intended for testing and will be hardened + restricted to only debug/profile mode in #190249.
