Basic Examples  (2)

Search for resources either locally or in the public repository:

Wolfram Language code: ResourceSearch["Sports", ResourceSystemPath -> {PersistenceLocation["Local"], URL[$ResourceSystemBase]}]

Find a cloud-deployed resource in my own cloud account:

Wolfram Language code: ResourceObject["CreateGuidePage", ResourceSystemPath -> {PersistenceLocation["Cloud"]}]

Scope  (2)

Create a local resource with the same name as a published resource:

Wolfram Language code: DefineResourceFunction[Row[{"A bird said: ", #}]&, "BirdSay"]

Use ResourceSystemPath within ResourceFunction, preferring in-memory resources:

Wolfram Language code: mybird = ResourceFunction["BirdSay", ResourceSystemPath -> {PersistenceLocation["KernelSession"], URL[$ResourceSystemBase]}]
Wolfram Language code: mybird["Chirp"]

Switch the order of the path to get the published version:

Wolfram Language code: birdnardo = ResourceFunction["BirdSay", ResourceSystemPath -> {URL[$ResourceSystemBase], PersistenceLocation["KernelSession"]}]
Wolfram Language code: birdnardo["Tweet tweet"]

Registered resources for different persistence locations can be found using the same locations in ResourceSystemPath:

Wolfram Language code: RandomSandwich[] := Module[{bread, condiment, main}, bread = RandomChoice@Entity["FoodTypeGroup", "Breads"]["Foods"]; condiment = RandomChoice@Entity["FoodType", "Condiment"]["Foods"]; main = RandomChoice[Entity["FoodVariety", "DeliStyle"]["Foods"], 2]; Column@Flatten@{bread, condiment, main, bread}]
Wolfram Language code: makeSandwich = DefineResourceFunction[RandomSandwich]

Find an in-memory resource:

Wolfram Language code: ResourceFunction["RandomSandwich", ResourceSystemPath -> {PersistenceLocation["KernelSession"]}]

Find a locally cached resource:

Wolfram Language code: ResourceRegister[makeSandwich, "Local"]
Wolfram Language code: ResourceFunction["RandomSandwich", ResourceSystemPath -> {PersistenceLocation["Local"]}]

Find a cloud-deployed resource:

Wolfram Language code: ResourceRegister[makeSandwich, "Cloud"]
Wolfram Language code: fromcloud = ResourceFunction["RandomSandwich", ResourceSystemPath -> {PersistenceLocation["Cloud"]}]

Use it to make something of unknown deliciousness:

Wolfram Language code: fromcloud[]
