Software engineer at API Nation, based in Piedmont, Italy. I build integrations between SaaS products, and AI agents that do real engineering work in production.
What I'm working on
- AI agents for engineering. Agents that pick up Jira bugs, dig through live logs and connector code, open fix PRs and review pull requests. Most of the effort goes into everything around the model: evals, tracing, guardrails, and a feedback loop that turns every miss into a fix.
- A platform for AI agents (TypeScript, Hono, PostgreSQL + Drizzle, MCP): AI "employees" with policy-gated tools, an audit trail and a human in the loop.
- Integration engineering. Connectors and data-sync workflows on AWS Lambda for a platform with 170+ connectors across CRMs, accounting, marketing and e-signature tools. My focus is how integrations break in production: token lifecycles, rate limits, lost webhooks, duplicate records, two-way sync that must not loop. I take it from root cause on live data to the fix and a safe rollout.
1,000+ pull requests at API Nation, 200+ in 2026 so far, plus 250+ reviewed this year. Most of it lives in private repos.
How I work
AI-native. I've built my engineering workflow around Claude Code: 60+ custom skills, hooks and MCP servers that encode team standards, debugging playbooks and review protocols. Agents do the legwork: reading production logs, tracing code paths, drafting fixes and tests. I own the problem framing, the architecture and the final call. Every PR passes an independent AI review before it reaches human reviewers.
Stack
- TypeScript / Node.js, Python (Django), PHP in earlier years
- AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch), Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
- PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis
- Claude Code, MCP, Langfuse, Vitest, Testcontainers
Background
I came back to engineering after about ten years of running businesses: online stores, marketplaces, order and CRM systems, chat bots. So I ask what a change does for the customer before I ask how elegant it is.
