greate job
I can't wait to stick that hard drive on my laptop lid.
I love @substack 's proposal but don't know if it will be easy to stamp on tshirts and that kind of stuff logos are mostly used for.
svg here+1 for @zeke
+1 for @karlbright, nice job!
I'm with @substack. Octagon O, binary, 10, etc. Probably needs the full "js" as a kicker, but that's for later.
svg under public domain "license".
@substack these are really cool. nice work!
@zeke does it also come in JavaScript yellow?
@substack It's 2014 now can't we at least have SSD for the log? :P

Load more actionsYou guys have talent! Holy crap! I couldn't read all the comments, but I skimmed through and I agree with most of the suggested guidelines. I would, however, add this remark; the official name is io.js (all lower case letters), and a lot of entries capitalize the name. Shouldn't the logo reflect the name and, thus, do not get mixed up with Google I/O conferences? :)
On another note, I don't necessarily like the idea of having yet another hexagon logo, even if it is stackable and "popular", I'd suggest something different. Simple, but different.
I like @karlbright 's first scribbles, the third one with the spaces between the rotating triangles/polygons is something that has not been exploited much so far. They are in an octagon shape, but they can easily be abstracted from the shape since composed of other, smaller, polygons.

on Mar 24, 2015 I propose something like a function where i is the name of function and O is parenthesis and js a param, so are you ready... tadaaaa...... i(js)
:)
Is it time to take a vote on the logo? I feel like there's more than enough submissions 👍
No votes. I never want this thread to end.

#37 (comment).Ok folks, thanks for all the designs. I hope to see more of them out in the wild when people are feeling creative, and I'd love to get some stickers printed here and there of some of the designs.
People can still contribute to the thread for fun and whatnot, but it's gotten a little inactive, and with the merge of io.js and node.js there isn't too much reason to keep the thread "open" on the issue tracker.
So long and thanks for all the logo ideas & fun! :)
We've started a thread for a logo iterations of the official Node.js logo nodejs/evangelism#179

Let's all make some logos!
I'll go first:
