The comment said a name carrying a CNAME can hold no other record type and that DNS verification was therefore impossible here. Our own zone disproves it: docs.msgwing.com is a CNAME to msgwing.github.io and serves a TXT, which is how Yandex was verified before it moved to a meta tag. What is true is narrower and worth keeping: Yandex's own resolver enforces the rule and will not read that TXT. Google reads it fine, and the Search Console property was verified as a domain property on 2026-08-23 without any tag at all - so that slot stays empty on purpose rather than by omission. A comment stating a rule that the repository's own DNS contradicts is how the next person makes a wrong call with confidence.

Google odczytuje bez problemu, a wlasciwosc w Search Console zostala zweryfikowana jako domenowa, bez zadnego tagu — wiec to miejsce w konfiguracji zostaje puste celowo, a nie przez przeoczenie.
