0.1.2

Choose a tag to compare

@badosa badosa released this 27 Jul 21:20

Patch release focused on clearing static-analysis and security warnings so the
solution builds cleanly with warnings-as-errors. No public API or behavior changes.

Changed

  • System.Text.Json bumped from 8.0.0 to 8.0.6, resolving the two high-severity
    advisories (GHSA-hh2w-p6rv-4g7w, GHSA-8g4q-xg66-9fp4) reported as NU1903.
  • Version bumped to 0.1.2.

Fixed

  • NU1903: System.Text.Json 8.0.0 → 8.0.6 (known high-severity vulnerabilities).
  • CS0419: ambiguous XML doc crefs that collided with same-named members are
    disambiguated with the T: ID-prefix
    (Response → Dataset/Collection/Dimension; Dimension → Category).
  • CS8602: nullable-returning navigation calls (Dimension(...), Data(...),
    Value) dereferenced in the test suite are now annotated with the null-forgiving
    operator, matching the convention already used elsewhere in the tests.
  • xUnit2013: Assert.Equal(1, …Count) replaced with Assert.Single(...).

⚠️ Experimental / pre-1.0. While the major version is 0, this package is
considered experimental: any release may contain breaking changes.

0.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@badosa badosa released this 26 Jul 14:00

Patch release focused on .NET modernization, an HTTP fetch helper, and transform
robustness. The library still targets netstandard2.0.

Added

  • HTTP fetching (Toolkit parity): JSONstat.Load(Uri) and
    JSONstat.LoadAsync(Uri, HttpClient?, CancellationToken), reusing a shared internal
    HttpClient. Previously listed as deferred ("HTTP fetching").
  • FetchTests covering the happy path, a null url, a non-success status, and the sync wrapper.

Changed

  • Build/test target moved from .NET 6 (EOL since Nov 2024) to .NET 8 (LTS). The CI
    matrix now sets up 8.0.x only.
  • System.Text.Json bumped from 6.0.11 to 8.0.0.
  • Transform's comma-decimal rendering now reuses a cached CultureInfo instead of
    allocating one per cell.
  • Dice raises a clear OverflowException when the result would exceed int.MaxValue
    cells, instead of a confusing runtime error.
  • Version bumped to 0.1.1.

Fixed

  • Unflatten no longer silently truncates cubes larger than int.MaxValue cells; it now
    throws OverflowException with a clear message.
  • XML documentation cross-references (<see cref="Dataset.Dice"/>, Dataset.Transform,
    and the ambiguous FromArray cref) now resolve, so GenerateDocumentationFile no longer
    emits CS1574/CS0419 warnings.

⚠️ Experimental / pre-1.0. While the major version is 0, this package is
considered experimental: any release may contain breaking changes.

@badosa badosa released this 26 Jul 07:34

⚠️ Experimental / pre-1.0 release. The public API is not yet stable; breaking changes may occur between releases until 1.0.0.

First public release of the C# port of JSON-stat.

  • Toolkit-parity read/navigation: Parse, Dataset(), Dimension() (by id/index/role), Data(), ValueAt()
  • Collection & dimension response classes
  • Non-deprecated transforms only: Dice, Unflatten, Transform (no Slice/toTable)
  • Fluent DatasetBuilder write API (dense/sparse values, all status forms)
  • xUnit suite: 21 tests, 5 fixtures — all green
  • Samples + API.md reference

See CHANGELOG.md for details.
