   After some internal discussion, we realized that this would increase the complexity of the surface too much. The reason is that the "old" way of passing in the String form of resource names would still to be supported, because these resource names can come from other sources, and the proto-generated classes wouldn't provide the helper classes, thus providing an inconsistent surface. Consequently, adding helper classes would only add clutter.
