My project list only grows. Ideas come in faster than they go out, and I've made peace with that (lie). What does come out usually involves an app and a container, or a microcontroller and a 3D printer humming in the corner.
There's a small screen on my desk showing my CPU temperature. I wrote the daemon feeding it, the firmware running on it, and printed the case around it (a few attempts, thanks for asking). That's how things tend to go here: it starts with "it'd be cool if…" and ends up somewhere else entirely.
Work is the same instinct with more people depending on it and fewer loose cables behind the desk: distributed pipelines, integrations, and the unglamorous layer that lets other teams ship without waiting on mine.
Currently: a Go daemon feeding that screen, and getting slightly better at finishing things in public.
I work with Python · Go · C/C++ · Temporal · Airflow · AWS · Terraform · Docker
I build with Microcontrollers (ESP32, Arduino) · SBCs (Orange Pi, Raspberry Pi) · ESPHome · ExpressLRS · 3D modeling and printing
Computer Engineering, CIn/UFPE. I worked on Curupira, a real-time wildfire risk prediction and detection system for rural areas: a wireless sensor network feeding a Fire Weather Index model. It won the Latin American stage of the IEEE CASS Student Design Competition 2019-2020, taking us to the world finals as one of four continental representatives, and was also an embedded systems finalist at SBESC 2019. In hindsight it's the same problem I still work on: getting data from where it happens to where someone can act on it.
