A Windows keyboard layout that replicates the macOS US keyboard, including all Option (Alt) and Option+Shift key combinations.
If you're a Mac user who also uses Windows, or if you simply prefer the Mac's elegant way of typing special characters, this layout is for you.
- All Mac Option key characters – Type ©, ®, ™, €, £, ¥, and many more
- All Mac Option+Shift characters – Access †, ‡, °, ±, ≠, ≤, ≥, and others
- Five dead keys for accented characters:

- Extract the contents
- Run
setup.exe - Follow the installation prompts
- Go to Settings → Time & Language → Language → Keyboard
- Add "US - Custom" as an input method

On Windows, the Right Alt key (also called AltGr) functions as the Mac's Option key.

Dead keys let you type accented characters in two steps: press the dead key, then press the base letter.

- Install Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator 1.4
- Open
MacUS.klcin MSKLC - Make your changes
- Go to Project → Build DLL and Setup Package
- Windows 10
- Windows 11
Note: Some characters (mathematical symbols, ligatures) may not display in legacy applications that don't support Unicode.
