Hi there 👋

My name is Stephen, I'm a software developer at Hudl where I build video and data analysis tools for coaches and athletes around the world. I've also worked at Pluralsight building amazing learning experiences, and Vegas.com building an e-commerce travel booking platform. I also work on a lot of other projects in my spare time. Here are a few of them!

Released Projects ⭐️

Code Workshop

A meetup group I've hosted in the past, a youtube channel for coding tutorials, and the blog where I write about things I've learned.

LowKey Media Viewer

A dead simple media viewer that maximizes the viewing space for images and obliterates clutter.

LowKey Media Server

A media server for managing long running media tasks like auto tagging, AI Face Recognition, Vector Embeddings, Image Processing.

Gaia: A Deep Time Geology Simulator

A fully simulated geology sandbox game written with Godot. Models tectonic and surface geological processes to generate realistic emergent planets.

Model Pad

A structured document editor with AI integration. Manage documents, products, landing pages and more. Connect to popular AI models like Anthropic's Claude Haiku, or your own local LLM server to power agentic editing and application management.

Punk Naturalism

A personal photo journal, now built with a custom static site generator I wrote from scratch in Go. It reads photos with YAML front matter and runs its own image pipeline — responsive srcset variants with a content-addressed cache for fast incremental rebuilds — then packs each gallery into justified, balanced rows using a dynamic-programming layout algorithm. Compiles to static HTML, deployed on GitHub Pages.

Gallery Generator

A Go web server to serve a performant HTML gallery provided a directory containing images.

Pixel To CSS

A command line tool to convert png pixel art to CSS box-shadow rules.

slangfx

A standalone Vulkan based program that applies libretro-format slang shaders (the multi-pass GPU shader format used by RetroArch) to any video file via ffmpeg. Includes a live tuner for previewing and adjusting shader parameters in real time, H.264 export, and a bundled library of original effects spanning color, edge detection, blur/bloom, motion-reactive, and glitch looks.
