Builds are published under Releases. Each one is a signed, notarised and stapled DMG. Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later, Apple Silicon or Intel.
Free mode needs no account and has no time limit: every detector, every language, review, redaction, export and the verification result, one document at a time.
Solander claims your documents never leave your Mac, and that claim is checkable rather than merely asserted. The app runs in Apple's App Sandbox without the network client entitlement, so macOS refuses outbound connections regardless of what the code asks for:
codesign -d --entitlements - /Applications/Solander.app
There should be no com.apple.security.network.client entitlement. You can also confirm the
build came from us and reached you intact:
codesign --verify --deep --strict --verbose=2 /Applications/Solander.app
xcrun stapler validate /Applications/Solander.app
spctl -a -vvv -t install /Applications/Solander.app
The signing authority should read Developer ID Application: Alexander Hepburn (4J5C5KLWNF).
Email support@quietsignalslab.com. Issues are turned off — one support channel, so nothing gets lost between two.
Please don't attach a document you needed to redact. A description of what went wrong is enough; if you must send a file, send one you have already redacted.
Solander is document redaction software. It is not identity-theft protection, device security software, or legal advice, and it does not determine whether a disclosure meets any legal obligation. A passing verification means no readable text remains inside the regions that were redacted — it does not mean everything sensitive was found.
