I build production AI and Python systems at Devaland, in Romania.
Before that, I typeset scientific books for more than twenty years. That is where the rule behind everything here comes from: a document and the text a program extracted from it are not the same thing. So the software I build either quotes its source, or says plainly that it could not read it.
Built and running
- open-deal-kit: agents for company acquirers, from first teaser to investment memo. Every claim is cited to its source or cut. MIT.
- everypage and everypage-web: ask a PDF a question and get one of three answers: found (with verified quotes), not found (only when every page was read), or cannot say. Live demo · 2-minute video
- ro-cited-answers: self-hosted Romanian question answering on an open-weight model that refuses any answer it cannot trace to a source.
- Deal OS: cited due-diligence software for acquirers. Sample report, no login
Writing: dev.to/devaland, engineering write-ups, including the failures I found in my own systems.
