Ripple has taken its push into college sports a step further, securing a multi-year agreement with the University of Florida to put XRP branding on the field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The deal, confirmed by Florida Athletics on Sept. 5, covers the full 2026 football season and runs for multiple years beyond it.

The XRP logo will appear on the playing surface itself, making it one of the more visible placements a crypto brand has secured in college sports. Signage across Florida Athletics' digital platforms and in-venue displays in Gainesville will carry the branding as well. Neither party disclosed the financial terms.

Education Is Built Into the Agreement

Ripple's commitment goes past marketing. The company agreed to fund financial and technology education for Florida student-athletes and members of the broader campus community. That programming spans both traditional finance and digital assets, according to the announcement.

University of Florida Director of Athletics Scott Stricklin said the partnership fits the school's approach to innovation. "Florida has a long history of embracing innovation and technology to enhance the experience of our fans and advance our programs," he said. "Ripple has established itself as an innovative leader in financial technology, and we're excited to welcome XRP to Gator Nation."

Florida is one of college sports' larger programs. It competes in the Southeastern Conference, fields 21 varsity teams, and supports more than 500 student-athletes. The school has claimed 49 national championships across 16 sports. Its football program won national titles in 1996, 2006, and 2008.

Kansas Was the First, Florida Is the Second

The Florida deal did not emerge in isolation. Ripple struck a separate multi-year agreement earlier in 2026 with the University of Kansas to place the XRP logo on Jayhawks basketball jerseys. That arrangement marked the first time a cryptocurrency brand appeared on the uniforms of a major college sports program. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse is a Kansas alumnus.
Ripple's core business covers blockchain-based financial services including payments, custody, prime brokerage, and treasury management. The company also launched the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin as part of its product lineup. XRP has gained roughly 34.9% over the past 30 days, though it remains down about 49.8% over the past year. Cumulative net inflows into US spot XRP exchange-traded funds (ETFs) stood at approximately $1.6 billion, though weekly flows had cooled heading into the announcement.
