Money is getting an upgrade — not a version update, a whole new operating system. We’re entering money’s OS era. The next step will define how we pay, build trust, and interact with value itself. Here’s what I think is happening 1️⃣ No single winner. There won’t be one network that dominates the world. Just like MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android — multiple systems will coexist, each optimized for different needs. 2️⃣ The rise of settlement layers. A few key infrastructures will quietly power most of the global economy. Ethereum is well-positioned here because it’s open, decentralized, and permissionless — meaning anyone can build on it. 3️⃣ Banks, neobanks, and fintechs will compete on trust. Traditional players will continue to own compliance and stability. Fintechs and exchanges will push speed, innovation, and UX. Both sides will need each other to scale. 4️⃣ Local innovation will thrive. Smaller PSPs and domestic providers will adapt these global rails for regional markets — proving that innovation doesn’t have to be global to matter. 5️⃣ Stablecoins are the bridge. They don’t replace the financial system — they connect it. Fiat trust meets digital speed, creating a smoother path between the old world and the new. Control won’t belong to any single player. It’ll be shared across open networks, institutions, and innovators shaping the next era of finance. What do you think — will the future of money be open or regulated?
