Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

I am writing to request assistance with my GitHub Student Developer Pack application, which is being repeatedly rejected by the automated system due to a location mismatch.

My Situation:

• Program: I am a student in the Master's in Artificial Intelligence at Universidad de La Sabana (Colombia).
• Modality: This is a 100% virtual/remote program.
• Location: I am a resident of Costa Rica, which is why my IP and browser geolocation do not match the University's physical campus in Colombia.

The Issue:
The automated system rejects my application because I am not "near the campus." However, as a remote student in an international program, it is impossible for me to be physically present at the campus in Chía, Colombia.

Evidence Provided:

• I have uploaded my official Admission Letter for the 2026-1 period, which explicitly states:
• My full name and Passport number.
• The start date of January 19, 2026.
• The specific mention that classes are conducted "de manera virtual" (virtually).

I am a Software Engineer and I am very excited to use GitHub's professional tools for my Master's research in AI. Could a member of the GitHub Education staff please review my case manually?

Thank you for your time and help.

Best regards,
Gabriel Lizano Alvarado
