Hello everyone,

Back in the beginning of 2019 I started working on the open source tool Baserow as a side project. It is an online database tool, Airtable alternative and Excel alternative. One of the reasons I started working on this is because there aren't any good open source no-code tools, but the demand is high. In May 2020 I picked up the pace and decided to stop doing freelance development work full time in order to work more on Baserow.

The tool has come far! There is a working version that you can try out at https://baserow.io or by starting a local demo environment via docker-compose. It has a solid base with a modular architecture. Everyone can make plugins for it.

A lot of work still has to be done though! It takes time to write code that has high test coverage, is modular, has good documentation and offers a great user experience. At the moment I have to do part time freelance development work in order to cover my living expenses. By becoming a sponsor we can work more on Baserow and this will speed up the development of new features and will help us pay the bills. It would mean a lot!
