Kibana version: v8.0.0 snapshot Kibana cloud-staging environment
Browser version: Chrome
Host OS: n/a

Preconditions:

  1. 8.0.0 snapshot Kibana cloud-staging environment should be available.

Build Details:
BUILD 48889
COMMIT bacb608

Preconditions:

  1. 8.0.0 snapshot Kibana cloud-staging environment should be available.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Login to Kibana
  2. Navigate to 'Fleet> Settings' tab.
  3. Click edit link for default output under 'Outputs' section.
  4. Add a new row under host field, do not enter any value in new host URL field and click 'Save and apply settings' link
  5. Observe that validation message 'Invalid URL' is displayed which is incorrect as user did not entered any URL.

Expected result:
Correct and more meaningful validation message, 'Please enter valid value in host URL' or 'Host URL field cannot be empty' should be displayed.
