Ubuntu 20.04, KVM
After installation the
server.confhas invalid second line (10.0.0.1) and therefore OpenVPN service doesn't start properly:The problem comes from command at line 106 of the installation script:
ip -4 addr | grep inet | grep -vE '127(\.[0-9]{1,3}){3}'. In my case it outputs following:Then this string is cut by
/separator but saves that10.0.0.1garbage.Interesting — that garbage appears at the server.conf file no matter if I hit Enter during the first step of the installation or if I type my clear IP address manually.
If I manually remove that line, than VPN works fine.
I guess it is possible to edit regular expression to deal with this issue.
