Hello!
I have trouble updating my Xcode to version 12.1. Since version 12.0 I have constant troubles with updating(Not enough storage space to upgrade - I have over 70gb of free space) but update to 12.1 failed and I had to remove Xcode from my Mac. Now when I try to download it again it either downloads(5gb from 11gb total took like 12 hours) or stays at 0kb downloaded.
Troubleshooting steps I did: Restart my Mac, log out of AppStore and log back in - no success.
Clear AppStore cache files, remove old Xcode folders like "Developers" - no success
I cannot update macOS - I'm running latest 10.15.7(I don't use beta software).
I've performed clean install of my macOS Catalina from Recovery - that also didn't helped at all.
Wi-Fi connection and stable and with decent speed.
Apple macOS updates/AppStore service are available on dashboard with green status
I wondering if something is damaged with my Mac because I feel like I've done everything I can to troubleshoot this issue.
Has anyone encountered similar issue to mine and maybe figured out a solution to this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi!,
My current specs are:
iMac 21.5 4K Retina
Core i5 3.4GHz 4 Cores
8GB Ram
4 GB Radeon GPU
1 TB HDD
But while using Xcode feels like Im trying to run it on an Apple II ... or worst feels like Windows. Every action I do ends in the "waiting" macOS icon, and about 4 to 8 seconds then respond, every action even by selecting a file.
When trying to type some code is just frustrating I can't complete one single word without a 4seconds lag, then after 5 to 10 minutes with Xcode open my OS just start to fail, gets frozen and I need to start "forcing close" the app.
Can I do something to fix this? I can't get back to Xcode 11

I've used a third-party platform (Stencyl) to create my app. I've always conducted testing on Stencyl, but through Xcode and onto my iPhone device though. Ever since updating my iPhone to iOS 14 (and now iOS 14.1), I've been met with an error.
In Stencyl, the error shows up as such:
[ios-deploy] 2020-10-27 15:43:43.403 ios-deploy[9909:145361] [ !! ] Error 0xe8000022: The service is invalid. AMDeviceSecureStartService(device, CFSTR("com.apple.debugserver"), NULL, &con)

...
When I export my game to Xcode, and I run solely through Xcode without Stencyl, I get the error much sooner, and I am unable to build my game.
The Xcode error shows up as such:

When running on Stencyl via Xcode, I can always still run my game. When exporting and running solely on Xcode though, the build barely begins.
I'm using iOS 14.1 on iPhone 11, and I'm using Xcode 12.1 on a MacBook macOS Catalina 10.15.7.
Any suggetions?
Thanks!

I'm running macOS Catalina and have just started a course at school in C\++. I'm using Eclipse. I want to be able to code C++ in Eclipse without doing the full 10+ GB Xcode installation. How can I do this? I've seen you can download just the Command Line Tools, but will this work in Eclipse? And are there Command Line Tools available for Catalina?

Hello!
I used Xcode’s template for Augmented Reality, chose SwiftUI for my lifecycle and am using RealityKit. Clicking Run, on either iPhone X or iPhone 12 Pro, I get a smaller view in the middle not taking up the whole screen.
Regardless of the modifiers or how I try to affect the frame, I cannot make the view full screen (it’s a box with black borders on top and bottom).
Any idea how I can make it take up the whole screen?

I updated Cocoa pod.
I removed all about pod and installed again.

Hi All,
We have more than one target, utilizing shared code to share the code across the targets, so we are Xcode utilizing workspace.
Issue : Crash logs are not pointing to the crash location after utilizing workspace

I found a bug in XCode 11.6 and/or Catalina 10.15.6. I have a work around listed below, but wondered if this a general problem that should cause concern?
In brief, I extended NSString class in Objective C with some personal convenience methods. Here is simplified header for "MyStringAdditiotions" showing just one convenience method:
@interface NSString (MyStringAdditions) (NSString *)unquote;
@end
The one method is code I wrote a long time ago to remove white space and then if needed remove quotes on a string using such code as
NSString *myString = "	\"quoted text\"";
NSString *uqString = [myString unquote];
to return just uqString = quoted text.
The code itself is irrelevant and I am sure it is correct, but I got reports from users that it stopped working in Catalina. I was unable to reproduce their problems until I noticed that when I compile and run my app in XCode it works fine, but if I quit XCode and launch the app just compiled in XCode directly in Catalina, in runs differently and quotes and not removed. I tried NSLog() message in my unquote method. Those messages appear when running in XCode, but not when running in Catalina.
In summary, Catalina is not calling my convenience method. It is not, however, universal. I have lots of other methods in "MyStringAdditions" that are called correctly in Catalina. So far it appears only to be "unquote", but I cannot be sure and I don't know why the problem (hence the concern).
Two ways to fix it are to rename the method (e.g., to myUnquote) or to avoid using Objective C methods to extend a class (i.e., move the code to some other class). I thought maybe it was a naming conflict, but a search of developer documentation does not return any results for "unquote" in Objective C for NSString. Furthermore, if there was a conflict, it should affect running in XCode the same as running in Catalina (or at least give a warning of a conflict).

Dear all,
I am building an iOS app using MapKit with SwiftUI, XCode 12.0 and an iPhone 11 with iOS 14 for development.
Since I updated XCode to 12.0, I began to see the following warning printed repeatedly on the xcode console.
2020-09-23 15:45:16.171240+0900 projectName[835:37406] [VKDefault] Style Z is requested for an invisible rect
This is annoying because it completely floods the console with these messages, "hiding" my own logs.
I could not find any reasonable explanation for this warning on the internet. I could, however, prevent the messages from appearing on the screen by following this response: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/46332856/apple-maps-raster-overlays-above-labels-failed-to-decode
Does anybody have a hint on how to solve this issue without disabling the environmental variable "OS_ACTIVITY_MODE"
?
Kind regards

Anyone else experiencing this? Any fix?
