. it would be a great improvement if you could play a gif in this screen during the training. Most of time I need to stop my workout to do 2 additional touches to check the execution. If you play a simple gif of the exercise I wouldn’t need to stop

Alternatively (need to be tested) in such case we could maybe use some threads to start some processings (async) and when the “abort” signal is triggered we can simply kill these threads… we’ll need to test to make sure it makes sense 😜

Due to event loop nature well, IO shouldn’t be a big issue, but it could kind of “full” the queues with garbage that would stumble there for long time isn’t? Or it’s just a problem in my head?

Take a given example: user send a request to retrieve information from database of a heavy query. Query takes too long.. user cancel the HTTP request. The query would still be performed (even if it takes considerable amount of time + memory)

These past days I stumbled into a very specific issue that somehow turned my attention to a problem that I have never paid enough attention in #nodejs Once you send a query to DB, There is no way or support to stop it. Adoption of AbortController is minimal in most APIs

i'm not questioning the usefulness of the packages. if something is useful give it a proper API, don't blindly expose things this very much feels like one of those "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should" things

Today was interesting while playing #fortnite with my son and his friends was very fun and they have a really good sense of team and cooperation. There is a bright future for them ☀️ and we won the match

One idea for next presentation talking about suspense you could say something like: "And now we will talk about..." long pause and ask: "Do you know what I'm doing? It's a tip for the next topic"... pause... "That's suspense" XD

You realize the size of a country and the diversity when you’re designing a db and have to add localization for city/region rather than language for some objects

Damn, it hurt my eyes some outdated and terribly formatted course in my degree graduation talking about Software Engineering from 2006.
