I haven't seen that before. Does Sign in with your browser work? 🤔

Nope, does not work at all either.

Oh God! Recently I'm beginning to meet this problem too and I cannot login in Github with VS after I upgrade the version of this extension.
So I reverted to the previous version(2.10.8) just now and the problem disappeared.
I notice that the login form of the latest version(2.11.96) is different from the previous one below.

The latest login form shows only 'Sign in with your browser' (“使用浏览器登录” in Chinese) and it always fails and shows the error message which @mikey2695 says above after the browser tells 'redirecting'.
