Not able to view Pull Request: "This repository is not on GitHub" #2463

Versions

  • GitHub Extension for Visual Studio version: 2.10.8.8132
  • Visual Studio version: Professional 2017 15.7.5

What happened

The "GitHub" tab is showing "This repository is not on GitHub", even it already connected to the repo and command line works fine.

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to "Team Explorer" tab
  2. Click on 'Pull Request'
  3. It will switch to "GitHub" tab which shows "This repository is not on GitHub"

Expected behavior

Able to view Pull Requests

Screenshots

  • Repository is connected
    Repo connected

  • Status bar looks ok
    Status bar looks ok

  • Command line works fine
    Command line works fine

  • The "GitHub" tab is not able to show Pull Requests
    GitHub tab is not working

@deqing could you try changing the origin to point at https://github.com/oneiress/iosplus-server ?

Alternatively, could you try re-cloning it using File > Projects > Open from GitHub?

And it seems there is no File > Projects > Open from GitHub

Here is my repository setting, if that helps:

I think you might be able to Edit your origin remote and make it point to https://github.com/oneiress/iosplus-server. You can then remove the origin-http remote. After you're done that, try reloading VS and see if it's now working. 🤞
