# Quickstart

> Add Sava to your Gradle or Maven build.

## Build Configuration

  Sava targets Java 25. Ensure you have a compatible JDK installed before adding Sava to your build.
</Info>

Use the same Sava version for `sava-core` and `sava-rpc`; replace `VERSION` below
with the published version you are using.

### GitHub Packages

Every release is also published to the GitHub Package Repository, and
[idl-clients](/libraries/idl-clients) is published there only. Resolving from it
needs a GitHub token with the `read:packages` scope.

    Keep `gpr.user` and `gpr.token` in `~/.gradle/gradle.properties`, out of the project.
