New ctrl+f binding is inconsistent and frustrating #419

Description

@doctorcolinsmith

The new ctrl+f behaviour in the web interface is broken. I need to turn it off.

  1. It is very inconsistent as to whether I am triggering the browser's search, GitHub's search in the top left, or the regex search
  2. Whatever the method, the files are not getting searched. I can look for a string I know is in the document, but depending on whether the lazy loading is triggered, it likely to not find the string.
  3. Breaking the known behaviour of the browser causes a bad user experience. I spent 5 minutes swearing at GitHub before I realized what was broken.
  4. I no longer have a reliable way to search documents in the web interface.

I am using Microsift Edge Version 110.0.1587.63 (Official build) (64-bit).
