Sundown Sessions curates and publishes eclectic music sessions for listeners who want to discover beyond algorithmic playlists.
Curating a diverse catalogue of shows, artists, and episodes is difficult to do consistently when editorial content and music operations are handled in informal workflows. This project exists to solve that with:
- a Hugo website that presents content clearly and consistently
The site improves discoverability and editorial quality for the Sundown Sessions catalogue.
This repository contains the Hugo-based website content, templates, and static assets under src/.

Prerequisites:
- Hugo Extended (current stable release)
The site uses the Blowfish theme,
vendored as a git submodule under src/themes/blowfish. After cloning, run
git submodule update --init --recursive to fetch it. The investigation and
decision behind adopting Blowfish are recorded in
docs/theme-investigation.md.
Run locally from the repository root:
Set-Location src
hugo serverBuild production output:
Set-Location src
hugo --environment productionThe local site is available at http://localhost:1313 by default.
Analytics is configured under params.analytics in
src/config/_default/params.toml.
Placeholder values disable providers, so no live provider scripts are loaded
until real IDs are supplied.
- GA4 requires replacing
todo-measurement_idwith a real measurement ID. - Microsoft Clarity requires replacing
todo-project_idwith a real project ID. - Plausible and self-hosted Umami are reserved in configuration for future use.
- Custom events are sent through
window.sundownAnalytics.track(...).
- Website content and layouts: src/content/ and src/layouts/
