What does this PR do?

I have not committed any secrets (credentials, account IDs, private keys, .env files, Terraform state). See CONTRIBUTING.md.
Configuration changes use *.example templates, not real values.
The change is scoped to one component where practical.
I have tested the change (describe how below, if applicable).
