Hi @erthink,

I’d like to submit clibmdbx for inclusion in the libmdbx README and the “Bindings and Projects” / Python bindings section. You have my permission to list it.

Project: clibmdbx
Repository: https://github.com/jyj117/mdbx-py
PyPI: https://pypi.org/project/clibmdbx/
Latest release: https://github.com/jyj117/mdbx-py/releases/tag/clibmdbx-v1.0.3
License: Apache-2.0
Runtime: CPython 3.10–3.14
Implementation: handwritten CPython C API calling libmdbx directly. The official libmdbx 0.14.3 amalgamation is statically embedded; it does not use ctypes, CFFI, Cython, Rust/PyO3, or a separately loaded system libmdbx.
Published wheels: manylinux x86_64/aarch64, macOS x86_64/arm64, and Windows x86_64
Validation: cross-platform CI, ASan/UBSan, Valgrind, randomized/state-model tests, crash/fork/thread-lifecycle tests, an API coverage matrix, and PyPI attestations
API coverage: https://github.com/jyj117/mdbx-py/blob/main/docs/API_COVERAGE.md
Benchmarks: https://github.com/jyj117/mdbx-py/blob/main/benchmarks/README.md

We particularly value libmdbx’s MVCC design, diagnostics, performance, and stable C API. The main integration challenge has been preserving transaction owner-thread and lifecycle rules correctly in Python thread pools; clibmdbx enforces and tests these rules explicitly.

clibmdbx is an independent community binding and does not claim to be an official libmdbx project. Feedback on API design, integration, or listing requirements is welcome.
