# graphify query

> Retrieve a compact neighborhood of graph evidence for a question.

| Argument | Default | Meaning |
| - | - | - |
| Question | Required | Natural-language question or keywords. |
| `--dfs` | Off | Use depth-first traversal instead of breadth-first. |
| `--context` | No explicit filter | Filter edge context, such as `call`; repeat for multiple contexts. |
| `--budget` | `2000` | Approximate output token budget. |
| `--graph` | `graphify-out/graph.json` | JSON graph to query. |

The response is graph context, not an independently verified natural-language answer. Review returned nodes, relations, provenance, and source references. Use [explain](/reference/explain) or [path](/reference/path) to narrow the result.

## Empty results

Check the graph path and refresh changed source. Try a concrete function, class, or subsystem name. The graph can only return relationships present in the analyzed inputs.
