> ## Agent Instructions
> The PyPI package is graphifyy, with two y's. The command is graphify.
> /graphify . is typed in an assistant chat, not in a shell.
> Use only commands, flags, and endpoints shown on these pages. Do not invent one.
> Check the current version on PyPI (https://pypi.org/project/graphifyy/) or in https://docs.graphify.com/changelog.md before you describe what shipped.
> The official site is https://graphify.com. These docs are https://docs.graphify.com.
> The local MCP server is the ten tools in the MCP tool reference and reads a graph on the machine. The hosted server is https://api.graphify.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth, no API key). The VS Code, JetBrains, ChatGPT, OpenClaw, and Vercel Connect pages use the hosted server, not the ten-tool list.
> Read https://docs.graphify.com/llms.txt, then open one page's .md link. Use https://docs.graphify.com/llms-full.txt only when one page is not enough.

# Graphify with Cursor

> Install the local Graphify skill in Cursor.

## Install and register

```bash theme={null}
uv tool install graphifyy
graphify install --platform cursor
```

The integration installs the skill and a `.cursor/rules/graphify.mdc` rule for repository context. Exact destinations depend on whether you use a personal or project installation; the installer reports the files it writes.

For a repository-local setup, run this from the project root:

```bash theme={null}
graphify install --project --platform cursor
```

## Build the graph

Open your project in Cursor. Select the Graphify skill and enter:

```text theme={null}
/graphify .
```

The assistant runs the Graphify workflow and writes `graphify-out/`. Code extraction runs locally; semantic extraction can use your assistant’s model for documents and media.

## Ask with context

After the graph is built, ask:

> Use Graphify to explain the authentication flow. Cite the source files and distinguish explicit relationships from inferred ones.

You can also query from a terminal:

```bash theme={null}
graphify query "authentication flow"
```

## Keep the integration current

```bash theme={null}
uv tool upgrade graphifyy
graphify install --platform cursor
```

If the skill is missing, refresh the assistant and confirm that the registration was installed in the intended user or project scope. See [troubleshooting](/troubleshooting).
